After a year of intensive planning, we can now look back on a more than successful IFAT 2024, which exceeded our expectations.

Day 1 at IFAT 2024:
Xylem presents itself in a new dimension
IFAT 2024 opened its doors at 9 a.m. on 13 May 2024. For the first time in our 40-year history, Xylem presented itself as a Company group on an impressive 700 m² stand area.
Under the motto ‘Partnership of a Lifetime’ we united all our brands such as Flygt, Lowara, Wedeco, WTW, Sensus and Evoqua. More than 100 Xylem colleagues from various countries enthusiastically represented Xylem throughout the week.
The relocation of the Analytics division from the Measurement technology hall to the Xylem stand in Hall B1 resulted in a real rush of visitors. Visitors flocked directly to our booth, attracted by our highly visible posters in the entrance hall and the aisles between the halls, as well as the drinking water dispensers placed throughout the exhibition.
What does partnership mean to us?
Our core message stands for holistic and qualitative solutions and around the water cycle, adapted to the increasing challenges posed by the environment. For us, partnership means being a loyal companion in your individual concerns and challenges that you can rely on!
Our booth was divided into the following areas:

Your Partner to Analyze
In this area we were represented with our products and experts for monitoring wastewater, flow and level, surface water as well as mobile and laboratory analyses. We took the opportunity to proudly present our new WTW brand Drinking Water Panel for the drinking water monitoring sector for the first time at the trade show, which was very well received by the visitors.

Another important product was our Alyza IQ PO4 phosphate analyzer. The low-maintenance and reliable IQ Sensor Net automatic analyzer generated a great deal of interest due to the increasing requirements for phosphorus elimination. Five days of IFAT - five days of programme
We spared no expense or effort to offer you an impressive trade show week. In addition to expert advice and live product presentations, you were able to listen to a total of 16 exciting specialist presentations on our Aqua Forum stage on topics such as water reuse, Watermark, customer stories, the impact of regulations and many other exciting topics.
In between, you could digest the flood of information in our beer garden with hot and cold drinks and typical Bavarian specialities. Freshly fortified, our outdoor stand was then the perfect destination for a short digestive walk.
Your health and drinkable water is important to us!
Drinking a lot is important! Especially in the temperatures of up to 28 degrees during the week of the exhibition. To quench your thirst in between, we offered you drinking water dispensers throughout the trade show, where you could fill up your Xylem drinking water bottle free of charge, which you received at our booth along with many other cool giveaways.
Happy Hour with Reuse Brew: A special kind of beer
Every day from 4 p.m., we invited guests to happy hour with our very special highlight: Reuse Brew, a beer made from recycled water.
Yes, you read that right. This beer is brewed from treated waste water from the Weißenburg sewage treatment plant.
Sounds unusual? Perhaps. But let us tell you that it is not only safe and clean, but also tastes great!

In total, an impressive 1,000 litres of Reuse Brew were served over the week.
So, the next time you hear someone say ‘I only drink the purest water’, you can proudly reply:
‘I drink the most sustainable beer!’
Exclusive customer event
On Tuesday evening, we celebrated an exclusive event with around 250 customers and partners from all over the world. In addition to delicious food and drinks, the winner of the Global Sustainability Excellence Award was announced and our Manchester City shirts were auctioned off. The impressive auction sum of €10,000 was doubled by Xylem and donated to the Planet Water Foundation.
New record
The final report of IFAT 2024 shows: This year equalled the record level of 2018 with 142,000 visitors from a total of 170 countries. A total of 3,211 exhibitors from 61 countries were represented. Xylem had the second largest stand.
We would like to thank all the helpers and employees who made this trade show week possible. But our special thanks go to you! Your trust has brought us to where we are today.
